Terry Jones "The Smart One": 1942-. Welsh born Terry Jones attended Oxford, where he studied medieval history. Following graduation, Terry Jones landed a gag-writing gig for the BBC alongside his friend and fellow Oxford history student Michael Palin. Writing partners, Michael Palin and Terry Jones, found themselves recruited for David Frost's Frost Report, where they met the Cambridge half of the Monty Python team.
